Profesionalni interesi i članstva

Područje rada: Organska sintetska kemija, sinteza heterocikličkih spojeva, sinteza i fotokemijska sinteza te spektroskopska karakterizacija heterocikličkih spojeva (posebno benzimidazola i amidina) koji se priređuju kao supstancije s potencijalnom biološkom aktivnošću, s ciljem njihovih selektivnih ili specifičnih interakcija s biomakromolekulama, uglavnom DNA i RNA. Spektroskopska ispitivanja interakcije novih biološki aktivnih molekula u otopini u s DNA/RNA. Spektroskopska karakterizacija spojeva korištenjem UV/Vis i fluorimetrijske spektroskopije u svrhu moguće primjene novopriređenih spojeva kao senzora za detekciju pH ili metalnih kationa u otopinama; ispitivanje antioksidativnog potencijala benzazola spektroskopskim i elektrokemijskim metodama.
