Životopis

Doc. dr. sc. Andrej Vidak diplomirao na Prirodoslovno-matematičkom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, Fizički odsjek. Doktorsku disertaciju obranio je na Prirodno-matematičkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Sarajevu, Fizički odsjek.

Od 2012. zaposlen je na Fakultetu kemijskog inženjerstva i tehnologije Sveučilišta u Zagrebu na Zavodu za fiziku u suradničkom zvanju asistenta, a zatim u suradničkom zvanju višeg asistenta. Od 2023.  zaposlen je na Fakultetu kemijskog inženjerstva i tehnologije Sveučilišta u Zagrebu kao docent.

Na Fakultetu kemijskog inženjerstva i tehnologije sudjelovao je u izvođenju nastave iz kolegija Fizika I i Fizika II. Na navedenim kolegijima održavao je seminare te u sklopu njih kolokvije kao i pismene ispite. Od 2024. nositelj je kolegija Fizika II na dva studijska smjera. 

Trenutno je voditelj na projektu „Razvoj mobilnih aplikacija proširene stvarnosti i IoT uređaja za realna i virtualna laboratorijska okruženja iz fizike i kemijskog inženjerstva materijala.“ Kao suradnik sudjelovao je na projektima CEEPUS te COST akcije.

Sudjelovanjem na znanstvenim radionicama i danima otvorenih vrata matičnog fakulteta bavi se popularizacijom znanosti. 

Bio je član Hrvatskog biofizičkog društva te Hrvatskog fizikalnog društva do njegovog zatvaranja.

Područja znanstvenog interesa su primjena modernih tehnologija u edukaciji fizike, vibracijska spektroskopija, kvantno-mehanički proračuni i umjetna inteligencija.
