With our ESNbuddy programme - a project that aims to assign an incoming international students with an “ESNbuddy”, a local student willing to help you to get up on your feet in your first few weeks in a new country - you should be able to find a new friend in Zagreb in no time. All you have to do is make your profile on the Papaya app and answer a few questions. Yes, it’s that easy!

But, we have something else prepared for you in our sleeve. Since we want the best match for you, you have the opportunity to improve another language. If you decide to apply for Language Tandem, we will assign you a tandem partner who speaks the language that you need! In return, your partner will be interested in the languages you speak, so you'll both have the opportunity to improve them while drinking a cup of coffee or tea. And if you are more of a person who likes something very particular, we suggest you fill out a series of simple “This or That” questions to find the best buddy for you!

You can apply until 31st August if you want a local friend who will show you around the city, introduce you to all the best places to visit and take you to the events that we organise! And in return, we believe that you will get a friend for life!
