Biography

Marica Ivanković is full professor tenure at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology (FCET). She received her M.Sc. in Engineering Chemistry (1988) and Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering (1994) from the University of Zagreb. She spent three years (1991-1993) at the Department of Materials and Production Engineering, University of Naples, Italy.

She currently teaches undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level courses: Physical Chemistry; Physical Chemistry of Polymers; Polymer Chemistry and Engineering, Polymer Composite Materials. Her research interests include synthesis and characterization of polymer matrix composites, organic-inorganic hybrids and nanocomposites, thermodynamics of polymer solutions, curing kinetics and chemorheology of thermosets and thermoset matrix composites, biomaterials.

She has been active in organising national and international conferences and summer schools. She was a national representative of Division of Polymers of the Croatian Society of Chemical Engineers (HDKI) in European Polymer Federation (2007-2016).

SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS

1985-May award (today Rector's award) of the University of Zagreb

1991 – 1993 -Scholarships for training and research at University of Naples, Department of Materials and Production Engineering (obtained from Ministry of Science, Technology and Informatics of the Republic of Croatia , University of Naples  and International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy).

2015-National Annual Science Award  from Croatian Parliament

2022-Fran Bošnjaković Award of the University of Zagreb (2022).
