Bilateral cooperation of the University of Zagreb is carried out mainly within the framework of bilateral and multilateral agreements that cover the following forms of cooperation: work on jointly agreed topics, teaching staff exchange, students exchange, joint publishing activities, information exchange and other activities in the promotion of academic cooperation.

All the mobility of students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the University of Zagreb is to be inscribed in the Registry of international collaboration (in Croatian). This is particularly compulsory for the mobility activities, either incoming or outgoing, funded directly by the University of Zagreb.
