Biography

Grgur Mihalinec was born on October 27, 1997. in Zagreb. He received his primary school education at the Ljudevit Gaj Elementary School. In 2012, he enrolled in the Lucijan Vranjanin High School in Zagreb, where he graduated in 2016.  In the same year, he enrolled in the undergraduate study of Applied Chemistry at the University of Zagreb,  Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology.  He completed his undergraduate studies in 2020 with the defense of the final thesis on the topic "Metal materials for biomedical applications" under the mentorship of Prof. Ph.D. Hrvoj Ivanković. After his undergraduate studies, he continued his studies by enrolling in a graduate course in Applied Chemistry at the same faculty. During that period, he performed the role of demonstrator at the Department of Electrochemistry and actively participated in research based on supercapacitors. In 2022, he completed his graduate studies by defending his thesis entitled "Nano-graphite as an anode material for Li-ion galvanic cells" under the mentorship of Prof. Ph.D. Zoran Mandić. In October of the same year, he was employed as an assistant at the Department of Electrochemistry of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology and enrolled in the University's scientific post-graduate doctoral study in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry.
