Biography

Asistant proffesor Andrej Vidak graduated from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, University of Zagreb, Department of Physics. He defended his doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Science, University of Sarajevo, Department of Physics.

Since 2012, he has been employed at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology of the University of Zagreb at the Department of Physics in the associate title of assistant, and then in the associate title of senior assistant. From 2023, he has been employed at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology of the University of Zagreb as an assistant professor.

At the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, he participated in teaching the courses Physics I and Physics II. He held seminars and colloquia as well as written exams in the mentioned courses. From 2024, he is the professor of the Physics II course on two study profiles.

He is currently chief scientist of the project "Development of mobile applications of augmented reality and IoT devices for real and virtual laboratory environments in physics and chemical engineering of materials." As an associate, he participated in the CEEPUS and COST action projects.

By participating in scientific workshops and open days of the home faculty, he is involved in the popularization of science.

He was a member of the Croatian Biophysical Society and the Croatian Physical Society until its closure.

 

Areas of scientific interest are the application of modern technologies in physics education, vibrational spectroscopy, quantum-mechanical calculations and augmented reality, virtual reality and artificial intelligence.
