Životopis

Dr.sc. Đurđa Vasić-Rački, full professor, Diploma, Chemical Engineering, 1970, University of Zagreb, Croatia, PhD, 1981 in Chemical Engineering, University of Zagreb, Croatia, 1985/86 postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Biotechnology, Research Center, Jülich, Germany. She is a full professor in Biochemical engineering since 1992. She teaches at the graduate and postgraduate study biochemical engineering and biocatalysis. She has supervised 10 PhD students. Dr. Vasić-Rački's area of expertise is in biochemical engineering, and, more specifically, enzyme reaction engineering, where her main interest is biocatalysis with oxidoreductases, and in the recent years with the C-C- bond enzymes, such as thiamine diphosphate (ThDP)-dependent enzymes and aldolases. Also, she focuses on the development of multiple enzyme cascade reactions.
