*Program Overview:* The IITECH Summer School is a dynamic, month-long program, offering science students an opportunity to engage in hands-on learning about polymer chemistry and its industrial applications.
*Students will attend science and engineering classes, participate in French language training, and enjoy a variety of cultural and industrial activities.*

📆 *Dates:* June 11, 2026 - July 9, 2026
👩🔬 *Target Audience:* Students who have completed 1-2 years of undergraduate studies in science and engineering

What's Included:
• Scientific Courses: Students will study polymer chemistry and its applications in various industries such as textiles, leather, plastic, paint, cosmetics, and adhesives, as well as gain hands-on experience in analytical lab skills and colorimetry.
• French Language Classes: Available at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels • Housing & Transportation: Accommodation is provided for the duration of the program, as well as transportation within Lyon and to excursions.
• Cultural and Industrial Activities: Students will visit a range of industrial sites, including *Bayer*, a company specializing in the fields of *healthcare* and *agriculture* and *ALPOL*, a *cosmetic company. *The program also includes several *cultural excursions *such as a visit to a *winery*, a *chocolate factory* in Tain l'Hermitage, a day in *Geneva* (at the UN and CERN) and some *hidden spots* in Lyon. A local market visit and *French cooking class* are also part of the program.
