First week: The assignments and issues environmental engineers deal with and find solutions for. Introduction to earth sciences.
Second week: Ecosystems, biomes and aquatic systems.
Third week: Weather and climate.
Fourth week: Basic units of life. Measurements in the English language for special purposes.
Fifth week: Basic numerals in mathematics, symbols of mathematical operations.
Sixth week: Tables, graphs, charts and diagrams. Describing change.
Seventh week: Presentations, visual aids. Posters, power point presentations, ignite sessions, TED talks.
Eighth week: Properties of matter. Energy.
Ninth week: Traits of an environmental engineer. Education of an environmental engineer.
Tenth week: The scientific method. Problem solving.
Eleventh week: Working with numbers. Analyzing quantities.
Twelfth week: Universal accounting equation. The water cycle.
Thirteenth week: Dialogue about a lab experiment.
Fourteenth week :Translation of the dialogue about the lab experiment.
15 week : midterm test.

Learning outcomes:

- The student will be able to make a presentation and present it orally online in English using expert terminology.
- The student will demonstrate critical thinking in a filmed video clip where a discussion about a lab experiment that went wrong is analyzed and a solution is thought of to make the experiment become a successful one.
- The student will be able to recognize various chemical engineering issues by following current events and will be able to suggest solutions to such issues orally.
- The student will be capable of teamwork and complete various assignments by interacting with colleagues.
