As part of the dissemination activities within the SOL-MAT-CLEAN project, doctoral researcher Sandra Romac presented research results at the 10th Faculty of Science PhD Student Symposium, held in Zagreb, Croatia, on 24 - 25 April 2026.
The poster presentation, titled “Engineering In2O3/BiVO4 heterojunctions for enhanced visible-light degradation of contaminants of emerging concern”, focused on the development of heterojunction photocatalysts for improved visible-light-driven degradation of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs), particularly ciprofloxacin and PFOA. The research investigated the structural, optical, and photocatalytic properties of In2O3/BiVO4 composites and their potential application in sustainable water treatment technologies.
The presented work was carried out in collaboration with Suresh Kumar Pandey, Hrvoje Kušić, Marin Kovačić, Ana Lončarić Božić, and Urška Lavrenčič Štangar.
