First week: Writing chemical elements and symbols in English, the difference between American and British chemical names of elements, the difference in spelling and the difference in pronunciation of the basic terms of English for special purposes.

Second week: Introduction to lab instruments, the description and application of the instruments.

Third week: Chemical reactions, basic measuring units, abbreviations of the measuring units, describing the extensive and intensive properties of solids, liquids and gases.

Fourth week: Bonds, solutions, descriptions of solutions and reactions. Chemical equations and how to read them correctly in the English language for special purposes. The periodic table of elements.

Fifth week: Basic chemical reactions and the names of thereof in English.

Sixth week: Prefixes in the chemical terms in English. Traditional and modern names of chemical bonds in English.

Seventh week: Naming the polyatomic ions in English.

Eighth week: Naming the binary and oxoacids in English. Practicing the pronunciation of the acids in English.

Ninth week: The properties of matter and the description of solid, gaseous and liquid matter in the English language for special purposes.

Tenth week: Turning adjectives into nouns and vice versa in English. Adjectives, their synonyms and antonyms. Suffixes in the English language. The meaning of prefixes and suffixes. Review of the present tense.

Eleventh week: The description of metals, semimetals and non metals. Electro-negativity. The properties of liquids and gases. The transformation of matter from one state to the other and the verbs that describe it in English.

Twelfth week: The properties of solid matter. Asking questions regarding the properties of matter in English for special purposes. Describing the properties of bonds and the transition of physical and chemical properties of matter. Electron affinity.

Thirteenth week: Writing the Euro pass CV in anti-chronological order in English.

Fourteenth week: Making a poster presentation on an assigned topic.

Fifteenth week: the midterm test.

1. To present detailed personal information in the Europass CV in written and oral form in English.
2. To name and properly pronounce chemical symbols, compounds, bonds and reactions in English.
3. To describe chemical and technological processes in English.
4. To present the results of research in written form and orally online.
