Guidelines for poster pitch presentation

Presenters of active poster pitch session (11:30-12:00) need to prepare a 3-minute rapid-fire presentation to engage with a wider audience and provide a better overview of their research. Avoiding information overload is recommended. It should trigger the curiosity of the audience to make them want to visit your poster. The chairs are requested to stop the presentation after the allotted time has passed and should stick to the frame of the additional 30-second buffer to change speakers on the podium.

All presentations must be in .ppt or .pdf format and must strictly be based on the material shown at the Symposium poster session. The recommendation is that it should consist of a few slides or that your poster serves as a sheet for dynamic automated zooming transitions.

All presentations should be e-mailed to the official Symposium e-mail, jcsymposium2024@gmail.com , no later than the noon of the day prior to your presentation (until 14th October, 12:00 CET). A confirmation of receipt of presentation will be sent.

Guidelines for poster session

All posters must be prepared and delivered in English.
You have to bring your printed paper poster to the venue. The measurements should be approximately A0 (841 x 1189 mm), portrait orientation.
Each poster will be displayed in the morning on the first day of the Symposium (Tuesday, 15th October) and will need to be removed at the end of the day. Mention at the registration desk that you have a poster, and the local organization team will guide you. Double-sided sticky tape will be available on the site.

All poster presenters are asked to be present by their posters during the indicated time slot (13:00 - 14:00).
We advise the presenters to be available next to their posters also during the coffee breaks and lunch break when possible, in order to stimulate discussions in the poster area.
