Dr Gerhard Mohr’s Knowledge Exchange Visit Strengthens WearSense Collaboration Toward Smart Textiles

On February 4–5, we had the pleasure of welcoming our colleague and project partner, Dr Gerhard Mohr from JOANNEUM RESEARCH MATERIALS to the University of Zagreb Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology as part of the WearSense project collaboration (supported by Hrvatska zaklada za znanost (Croatian Science Foundation) ). 

During this visit, a knowledge exchange took place in which Dr Deepak Joshy, Iva Karneluti and Ivana Perković under the mentorship of Prof Dr Ivana Murković Steinberg worked on the covalent immobilization of pH-sensitive indicator dyes onto various cellulose- and chitosan-based materials. 

This collaborative exchange proved to be highly valuable and productive, representing a significant step forward in the development of smart textiles and innovative wound dressings.
