Title: Research associate
In 2008, she enrolled in the undergraduate study of Environmental engineering at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, University of Zagreb. She defended her thesis in 2011 (cum laude), and graduated in 2013 (magna cum laude). After completing her studies, she was employed at the Department of Industrial Ecology at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology as a professional associate on projects with the pharmaceutical industry. Since 2015, she has been employed as an assistant at the Department of the same name, and since 2021 as a senior assistant.
She has participated in numerous domestic and international conferences with oral and poster presentations. She participates in the preparation of professional studies and the organization of international water conferences (IWA Young Water Professionals). She has received numerous awards for her professional and scientific work. In 2020, she completed her scientific training abroad at the Vienna University of Technology, Institute for Water Quality and Resource Management, and in 2022 at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology. She was visiting guest teacher in 2025 at the University of Pardubice, Faculty of Chemical Technology.
She participates in teaching at the Department of Industrial Ecology, laboratory exercises and seminars in Microbiology; Environmental Protection; Air, Water and Soil Management; Bioremediation; Industrial Wastewater Treatment; Solid and Hazardous Waste Treatment; Waste Composting; Environmental Engineering Laboratory. The field of scientific activity is in chemical engineering, the branch of environmental protection in chemical engineering. Research is related to the bioremediation of waste streams, with special emphasis on the isolation of selective microbial cultures with the potential to degrade xenobiotics.
