Filip Brleković was born on June 30, 1993, in Sisak. After completing his secondary education in 2012, he enrolled in the undergraduate program in Chemical Engineering at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology. After defending his thesis titled "Biocatalytical Synthesis of Nanoparticles" and completing his undergraduate studies in 2015, he enrolled in the graduate program in Chemical Engineering. He defended his master's thesis titled "Optimization of Calcium Manganite Synthesis" in 2017, earning the title of Master of Chemical Engineering. In 2018, he was employed as an assistant at the Department of Inorganic Chemical Technology and Non-Metals at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, and in the same year, he enrolled in a doctoral program. In 2025. he defended his doctoral thesis named „Formulation of Nutshell and geopolymer biocomposites“. He participated as an associate in the project "Acoustic Non-Combustible Panel" and as an associate in two projects of the Croatian Science Foundation "Photovoltaic-Geopolymer Facade: The Role of Water-Oxygen in the Advanced Assembly of Composite Material Films" and "Surface Phenomena During the Preparation of Advanced Nanocomposites by Infiltration and Functionalization of Porous Materials". He participated in 13 international and one domestic scientific conference, of which 4 were with oral presentations. He received an award for one of the best oral presentations in 2021 at the training school "Advanced Technologies for the Processing and Characterization of Nanostructured Materials" for his oral presentation titled "Lightweight Concrete Foam from Saponified Almond Shell Extract". He has published a total of 17 original scientific papers, of which 12 are indexed in WoS and Scopus, 1 review paper, and 4 conference proceedings papers, 3 of which are directly related to the topic of his doctoral dissertation. As an assistant, he participates in teaching through leading seminars and exercises in 10 courses and directly supervising the execution of undergraduate and master's theses. He participated in the creation of internal scripts for laboratory exercises in the courses Mineral Binder Engineering, Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials, and Silicate Chemistry. He is involved in the work of the Faculty as a representative of associate positions in the Faculty Council, as a member of the Quality Management Committee, and as a member of the Committee for the Promotion and Visibility of Study Programs of the Faculty.
